It all begins with an idea.

In 2025, a team of Certified Peer Support Specialists in North Carolina noticed a commonality amongst their peers being served- a lack of access to clean clothing. The reasons for this phenomenon vary from a person experiencing mental illness that prevents them from doing laundry; to people experiencing homelessness; to no transportation to, or finances for the laundromat; to no financial resources for laundry supplies at home.

At The Wandering Well, we believe that everyone deserves clean clothes!

Our commitment arises from a profound sense of shared responsibility and empathy, motivating us to actively participate in building a stronger, more supportive community for all. The well-being of our neighbors is inherently tied to our own, and this understanding fuels a powerful and unwavering drive to ensure that everyone in our community has access to clean clothing.
